UNDERSTAND
- Self Defense training is a physical activity and may result in injury. The safety of our clients is paramount and we do everything in our power to insure that injury is prevented.
- We will never force you to engage in any physical activity that you are not ready, willing and able to complete.
- We require you to read and understand the following information prior to completing the payment for your program. The waivers are required reading prior to taking a self-defense class with us. Please be advised that by ticking the box on the payment page you are agreeing to these waivers.

Adult Waiver
In consideration of the acceptance of my application for the membership in C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta and/or in consideration of my being allowed to participate in classes or events, I hereby release, remise, and forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and save harmless to C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta, the Yaruki Judo and Fitness Academy Inc., and/or its directors, officers, members, organizers, teachers, instructors, coaches, referees, agents, officials, employees, representatives, or any visitors, from and against all claims, actions, costs, and expenses and demands in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to my person or property, howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with my taking part in any class or event and notwithstanding that the same may have been caused by, contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the said clubs, its directors, officers, members, organizers, teachers, instructors, coaches, referees, agents, officials, employees, representatives or any visitors.
This release and indemnity shall be binding upon myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and personal representatives.
Minor Waiver
I am the parent or legal guardian of a minor or minors, hereinafter referred to as the child or children, that are seeking to join a Self-Defense seminar with C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta. In consideration of the acceptance of our application for the membership the child or children in C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta and/or in consideration of the child or children being allowed to participate in classes or events, we, for ourselves, and for and on behalf of the said child or children, hereby release, remise and forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and save harmless C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta, the Yaruki Judo and Fitness Academy Inc., and/or its directors, officers, members, organizers, teachers, instructors, coaches, referees, agents, officials, employees, representatives, or any visitors, from and against all claims, actions, costs, and expenses and demands in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to the child or children's person or persons or property of the said child or children, howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with the child or children taking part in any class or event and notwithstanding that the same may have been caused by, contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the said clubs, its directors, officers, members, organizers, teachers, instructors, coaches, referees, agents, officials, employees, representatives or any visitors.
This release and indemnity shall be binding on the said child or children, ourselves, the heirs, executors, administrators, assigns and personal representatives of each of us and the said child or children.
Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions apply to any client that has purchased a product or service from C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta.
- All participants in C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense programs will be required to read and agree to the waivers, noted above, prior to attending the program.
- The programs offered by C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta are often physical in nature and require class participation. All participants are asked to work to their level of fitness and advise the instructors of any pre-existing conditions or injuries that may impede their abilities.
- In the event that a participant is injured during the course of a program they are expected to immediately advise the instructor so a proper course of action can be determined.
- Refunds will be offered for C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense programs if the program is cancelled. The only reason for this cancellation would be extreme weather or an emergency.
- Programs will NEVER be cancelled for low enrollment. We believe in the importance of this material and if you enroll, we will train you.
- Refunds will not be offered for C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense programs when the client chooses to cancel their enrollment or is otherwise unable to attend. We strongly encourage clients to commit to attending once they are registered.
- Refunds may be issued if the client has purchased a physical item and it has been determined to be defective. Refunds will be issued when the item has been returned to C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta and the defectiveness has been verified. The client will be responsible for the shipping costs to return the item to C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta.
- Refunds will not be issued on digital e-book downloads, for any reason. If there is an issue with the download C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta will correct the problem.
- Information regarding payment methods gathered during the checkout process is never stored by C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta. This information is used by WooCommerce and Stripe Payments in order to process the order and is never collected, viewed, or stored by C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta.
- C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Alberta reserves the right to remove any participant, without refund, from any program should that participant engage in behavior or conduct that is detrimental to the program, derogatory to the instructor or any other participants, or unsafe in any manner. If a participant is removed from the program they will be required to leave the training session immediately.
